GOD ALONE IS GOOD
This is based loosely on Psalm 73, verses 1, 13 and 23-26.
As I peruse the psalms, I yearn to know what they sounded like with their ancient accompaniment. I also have an affection for scales with a distinct Middle Eastern flavor, such as the exotic modes of Harmonic Minor. The message in this Psalm came to me resoundingly in one of these modes.
Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
