WANDERING WIND 2
Summer 1990, Brooklyn NY

You know I always thought I'd be at home on a mountain
Near an ocean or deep in wooded solitude
I've tried to capture that sweet feeling in my melody
But livin' in the city makes it so hard to do

You know I once had a vision of a home in some big country
With a dog or two and miles of open sky
I've tried to capture those old colors once again
But livin' in the city can turn dreams into lies

One sunny day, I'm sure I'll break away
I always say it... I still mean it...
      But here I stay

That old wandering wind blowing into my life again
Flowing in on the love you send
And I'm wondering when I might see you again, my friend

Well, it's time - this time around
To put on a new face and dance to a different sound
Yes, it's time - this time around
To look for that new place where your dreams won't let you down

You know I still can imagine how life could be outside this city
It's not so far away - it's as close as wishing
One sunny day I'm sure I'll break away
