I had a close brush with death in 2004 that compelled me
to go after my dreams with renewed vigor. This was probably
written, to a degree, as a reflection of my experience.

TROUBLE (I'LL TRY)
Summer 2004, Denver CO

I'm havin' trouble forgetting; I hear your voice ev'rywhere
The trouble is, I've been letting you tell me you're still there

I'm havin' trouble just sleeping; I see your face on my wall
The trouble is, it's been keeping me wishing you could call

I'll try... to get on with my life
I'll cry... until my eyes are dry

I didn't think you would hurt me and leave me feelin' so blue
You didn't mean to desert me
        ...Did you?

I'll try... to get on with my life
I'll cry... until my eyes are dry
I'll try... to get on with my life
I'll cry... until my eyes are dry

I'm havin' trouble believin' I'll ever see you again
Your trouble's over in Heaven; I'm here without a friend
