I followed him for three long years
He taught me so much He killed my fears

They crucified my Lord and Friend
I shouted and cried; it was the end

    Now many years have passed by
    So many men have asked why
    I can't forget his last cry
        Or the darkness that covered the sky...

In Galilee, upon a hill
Jesus appeared and spoke his will
And even though he's gone, you know he's living still
        I've got to tell someone...
        Hey church, we've got to get it done!

        "Remember me, with the friends you make
        "Remember me, ev'ry road you take
        "Remember me, for the Father's sake
        "Remember me..."
