North Carolina has to be one of the most gorgeous places
on this planet. The first two verses were inspired (in the
truest sense) by a "sky show" I watched one morning on
my way to work. The last verse was added Spring 2006.

I SAW GOD
Summer 1998, Raleigh NC

I saw God: he was painting the sky today and I watched him
For a while I couldn't tell between the heavens and earth
So many colors that don't have names
Surround the moon and stars and the sun
I saw God: he was painting the sky today and I watched him

I heard God: he was writing a song today so I listened
For a while I didn't know: Should I be laughing, or weep?
        A melody without a name
Surrounds a harmony and the Words
I heard God: he was writing a song today so I listened

I felt God: he was touching my heart today and I let him
For a while I wasn't sure if I was living or dead
I felt emotion that can't be named
Surrounded by his grace and his Love
I felt God: he was touching my heart today and I let him
