the triangle church band
Kevin always had plenty going on and he loved to keep me busy! Each December for seven years, the church produced and performed A Little Christmas Spirit, a Dickens-inspired musical written and directed by another extraordinarily talented member, Bill Culpepper, who also starred as Scrooge.
No sweet little pageant, this was an event that required professional lighting and sound crews and earned a solid reputation in the community and the local media (on one or two occasions, we actually provided some genuine competition for the city's traditional A Christmas Carol at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium).

The music was predominantly live, and I was Orchestra Leader for a few years. I rehearsed and directed the band, arranging and transcribing parts for bass, keys, guitars, some of our sequences and, if available, a few horns. In response to an overwhelming demand for a CD, we recorded many of the show's best songs in our studio; you can listen to a couple of samples by clicking on the artwork.
